Standing Bear

This plan, from designers Christina and Wayne, is a great example of how intarsia can represent different textures - in this case the bear's heavy fur coat.

To me, the piece is also reminiscent of early American frontier or folk art - relatively simple yet stylish and acurately portraying the creature itself.
